Dear Compatriots and Friends of Equatorial Guinea,

It is with great pleasure that I warmly welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in the United States of America, located in Washington, D.C.
During my previous tenure as Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Representative to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, I had the privilege of strengthening bilateral ties with numerous East African nations and engaging in multilateral diplomacy.
My prior postings in Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, and with the United Nations agricultural agencies in Rome further reinforced my appreciation for the global esteem in which Equatorial Guinea is held. Our nation is widely admired for its remarkable economic progress, exemplary democratic values, neutral foreign policy, and enduring humanitarian traditions.

I am proud to emphasize that the bilateral relationship between Equatorial Guinea and the United States of America is strong and continues to grow. We remain steadfast in our commitment to further enhance, optimize, and deepen these ties. Equatorial Guinea views the United States as a trusted and strategic partner, and we are eager to expand our collaboration beyond hydrocarbons into areas such as agribusiness, livestock, fisheries, tourism, environmental protection, education, and services. These sectors are central to the priorities of my mission, which began on October 19, 2023.

I am also delighted to advance cooperation with esteemed American institutions such as USAID, foster academic partnerships like the one between Drexel University and the National University of Equatorial Guinea, and strengthen initiatives such as the collaboration between Boston University and the Afro-American University of Central Africa in Djibloho. These efforts aim to promote scientific and educational exchange, as well as the sustainable management of our nation’s rich forest ecosystems.
Dear readers, Equatorial Guinea is not only a land of breathtaking natural beauty—lush forests, pristine seas, and a vibrant, diverse cuisine—but also an active and dedicated member of the international community. As a peace-loving nation, we are committed to expanding our cooperation with the United States to support economic diversification and sustainable development.

I reiterate my personal commitment, as well as that of the entire Embassy team, to listen to your suggestions and provide exceptional diplomatic and consular services. Together, we will strengthen the presence of Equatorial Guinea in the United States and further solidify the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations.
